The year 12 Social Sciences classes are organizing a social action. We have chosen to raise awareness and money for the Syrian refugees by organizing a bake sale on Monday March the 21st.

Over the next two and a half years 750 Syrian refugees will resettle in New Zealand. 75 have already arrived, these people are coming from a war torn country. Most of the refugees come from normal and educated lives but now live in poverty. We want to help refugees to enjoy their new lives in New Zealand.

We would love it if you would be able to contribute to the bake sale by bringing in some baking to support the many Syrian refugees coming into New Zealand. This baking can be brought to us outside the hall before school on Monday the 21st of March. Baking could include cupcakes, cookies and slices. All the money made from the bake sale will be donated to the Red Cross Refugee Resettlement programme.

Please bring baking on a disposable plate or in a labeled container which can be collected after 3pm on Monday afternoon from outside the school office.

Your contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
