A new and exciting initiative for Raglan Area School is our Girls’ Rugby Team.
Reuben Samuel Waikato Rugby Development Officer will be coming to Raglan Area School on the 18th March to offer skills and technical support to the girls.
They have been entered into the Waikato Sevens Twilight tournament on the 20th March and the girls are excited! Joe Rao is organising a game against a Hamilton school this term. Whaea Jeanette has offered to support the team and they are very grateful for her support.
These girls will be a multi-sport team and compete in the North Waikato Cluster Basketball tournament, Waka ama and also compete against schools in Netball and other sports. More notices will be sent out for each event as they approach. We are very proud of the girls and their commitment to sport.
