Kia ora Whānau

This year we will be holding a colour run with water slides instead of the traditional cross country. We invite you to support our tamariki at the 2022 Year 0-6 Colour Run on Tuesday 23 August 2022. If the weather is not suitable on the day, the postponement day is Thursday 25 August 2022.

We would like all students to wear clothes appropriate to the occasion and the weather for health and safety reasons, including a hat, and a warm jersey/ jumper. Students will need to wear a white/light top that they don’t mind getting paint on! The powder paint is no worse than inhaling dust and thus not dangerous. For those with respiratory issues please use caution and wear a mask. Alternatively, wear colourful clothing and staff will try not to paint these students. Footwear is recommended as there might be prickles or small stones on some parts of the course. Students need to have a full, named water bottle (water only) for rehydrating after their races. These will be kept near the finishing line.

First and second place-getters will be invited to represent our school at the Western Cluster Cross Country Races at Waitetuna on Thursday 1 September 2022.  (Third and fourth place getters will be backups.) More information will follow.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!  Please see below for a detailed itinerary for the day but should you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact Matua Kieran – kieran_hallgate@raglanarea.school.nz.
