WYLD Our Year 9 future leaders attended the Waikato Young leaders Day at the Waikato University where they connected with community leaders and other students.

Youth Day

Earlier this term RAS combined with the Community house and The Yard to organise a Youth Event for our community. We would like to acknowledge Cuba Godward and William Millward for their awesome DJ skills leading this event.

Canterbury University Exams

This term our top academic students entered the Canterbury Univeristy Exams. They completed examinations in Science, Maths and English. We are excited about this as a new enrichment area and to support our students with examination skills.

Year 7 & 8 Leadership

Year 7 & 8 Leadership team has stared with a rush of excitement as they start planning some exciting events and ways to support students at our kura. They have already met with Whaea Louisa discussing their ideas and what they want to achieve. Watch this space.

Dragons Den

Year 7 and 8 students produced an excellent in school market day. The students displayed high levels of creativity and business skills. We are grateful to all the whanau who supported as often behind any great dragons den there is a whānau supporting!

We look forward to next term and sharing new and exciting activities from the Kura Tuakana team. Happy holidays.
