It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of Matua Enoka Martin (Snr) on Saturday 31 October 2020.
Matua Enoka has been a mentor and role-model for many of our students and teachers and was closely connected to Whaingaroa Kohanga Reo. Te Roopu Aroha ki te Reo and Raglan Area School.
Matua Enoka is the husband of Gwyn Brodie (Erangi), our Year 7-10 Leader of Learning and long time staff member. Their two sons, Enoka and Tahuwaka attended Te Roopu Aroha ki Te Reo in the mid 1990’s.
The funeral will be held at Rakaunui Marae tomorrow,Tuesday 3 November, 2020 at 11.00am. We have a large contingent of staff members who will be attending and we are asking for whanau support to keep students at home. All senior students may use this as a Study Day from home. We will have a skeleton staff onsite and school will be open for those students who need to be here.
