Kia ora e te whānau
Te Kura a Rohe o Whāingaroa / Raglan Area School Board of Trustees has been advised that the teachers of our school who are members of the Post Primary Teachers Association (PPTA) and New Zealand Educational Institute (NZEI) unions are suspending all strike actions from today Monday 22 May 2023 until 11.59pm 30 May 2023.
Last Friday 19th May, 2023 the Minister of Education met with NZEI and PPTA representatives to discuss options for finding a way forward in the currently stalled collective bargaining and formal notice of the suspension has today been received by the Board of Trustees. During the next ten days all parties have agreed to use the time to work together to negotiate an achievable solution.
This means that all students are able to attend school as usual from today Monday 22 May 2023 until the end of the school day next Tuesday 30 May 2023.
Thank you for your understanding. We will keep you informed with any further developments. Should you have any concerns or queries regarding this notice please make contact with the school office as soon as possible.
